Results of the first round – Startup Challenge 2014

The three shortlisted contestants, who will participate in the San Francisco Forum, on October, 10th-12th for the final step of the challenge are (by alphabetical order):

Elistair: project of Guilhem de Marliave (Centrale Lyon) and Timothée Penet (Centrale Lyon)

  • Their project: “Elistair is a French startup that focuses on bridging the gap between Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and industrial needs for aerial data by solving the matters of autonomy and safety.” 
Food Novate: project of Geoffroy Reiser (EMLYON) and Rémy Taglang (EMLYON)

  • Their project: “Replacing traditional paper menus in restaurants by digitalized menus displayed on tablets directly available on the tables.”
YoFitness: project of Raphaël Azot (I.D.E.A. Program), Mickael Asseraf (Centrale Lyon) and Arielle Mimoun (EMLYON)

  • Their project: “YoFitness proposes various athletic programs taught via video link in which one of our certified fitness coaches presents a series of exercises 15 to 30 minutes in length.” 

The jury would like to congratulate two other teams, who will not participate in the San Francisco Forum, but whose projects caught its attention: Prodontis by Hugo de Gentile (EMLYON) and Zenit by Alice Couderec (EMLYON) and Charles Vallée (Centrale Lyon).

The members of the jury would also like to thank all the participants of this challenge and wish them great success in their entrepreneurial adventure. The jury was delighted by the quality of the 17 applications it received.

The next step for these three shortlisted contestants will be the presentation of their entrepreneurial project, in front of the community of the American Foundation and entrepreneurs next October, at the San Francisco Forum. At this occasion, three prizes will be awarded to the teams.
