Startup Challenge 2014

Affiche Concours Création d'Entreprise 2014The Startup Challenge is the first project funded by the Foundation Friends of Alliance CENTRALE LYON – EMLYON. It aims at supporting young entrepreneurs’ projects that combine insofar as possible, scientific and business competencies.

Only students from École Centrale de Lyon, EMLYON Business School or the I.D.E.A. Program (first program developed by the Alliance between the two schools) are allowed to be part of the challenge.

The goal of the challenge is to reward the best venture creation (based on a list of criteria) with funding to develop the project. It will receive $15,000 (USD). The second and third place projects will each be awarded with the prize of $2,500 (USD). Moreover, thanks to the schools’ network in North America, the three final contestants will have the chance to present their project to potential North American investors.

The three shortlisted applicants will defend their projects in San Francisco, at the occasion of the San Francisco Forum of the Foundation that will take place on October, 11th & 12th 2014. All three teams will be granted a privileged access to the North American network of the two schools, for some mentoring sessions in entrepreneurship.
